Adderton is located in the All Hallows’ Convent, at 547 Ann Street, and is close neighbours with All Hallows’ School.  Visitors to Adderton are asked to please be considerate of students and staff of All Hallows’ School as outlined in our conditions of entry.

Getting to Adderton

Public transport
Visitors to Adderton are encouraged to use public transport.  There are bus, train and CityCat options all within walking distance.  Please contact Translink on 13 20 30 or www.translink.com.au to plan your journey.

There is no general parking available at Adderton or All Hallows’ School.  A discounted parking rate for Adderton patrons is available at Cathedral Square parking station (opp. St John’s Cathedral), 410 Ann Street. Food and Drink
A coffee cart serves hot drinks and light refreshments in the Adderton courtyard on weekends with seating options available.  The Good Cup Cafe is currently being developed and will open in early 2020.

Adderton entry


Adderton is accessible via ramp and exterior lift to the front verandah and doorway entrance. All of Adderton’s venue spaces, rooms and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. A lift is located at the rear of the ground level to the basement and level one.

If you have a parking permit and require accessible parking for mobility concerns, please phone or email prior to your visit to book a car-parking space in front of Adderton.

Conditions of Entry

To ensure the safety of our artworks, and in consideration of others, visitors must comply with these conditions of entry including:

  • No touching of artwork
  • No food/drink inside the Convent
  • No smoking
  • No large bags, helmets or suitcases
  • No flash photography or as otherwise directed
  • No photography, filming or recording for publication or commercial purposes without prior permission from media@adderton.org.au
  • Group visits must be booked at least two working days in advance
  • No visitors are allowed on All Hallows’ School property
