Toowoomba-based ceramic artist, Dan Elborne, is responding to the shocking, recent statistic that one person will die by suicide every 40 seconds worldwide.
Partnering with The White Wreath Association to raise awareness of this global issue, Dan will be live-streaming a new project as part of A Fierce Hope, one of Adderton’s inaugural exhibitions.
Commencing on World Suicide Day, Monday September 10, Dan will be pushing his body to the limit in a remarkable performance of endurance. Producing a handmade terracotta object every 40 seconds, with no breaks, Dan will test his physical limits to highlight this important issue and raise funds for The White Wreath Association.
We are humbled by Dan’s thoughtful and impactful approach to this topic and thrilled to have him participating in this groundbreaking exhibition that will inspire visitors by showing that hope is a powerful driver of social change.
